Basketball Boys at it Again!

Yesterday Ethan had a basketball game and come game time only 4 players where there. Rather than forfeit, they had Alex step in as the 5th man. See for yourself how they did! Both boys are in yellow shorts, Alex number 9 and Ethan 34.

Greens, Blues, and Even a Black

We had a fabulous time skiing at Brighton today!
All the boys did great!
We skiied Magestic first. Everyone had fun, but P was a little timid.
The boys were tired of skiing the same lift,

so Aar and the big boys headed off to Snake Creek.

E and Alex have become quite the skiiers!

P and I headed over to Explorer to give P a few confidence building runs.
We met for lunch where P informed us he was ready to ski with the boys.
We all headed to Snake Creek and even ran into some friends of ours.
We did a couple of runs with them before they headed to lunch.
Drew worked on his turns and P became quite the speed demon.
So much so that we skiied some blues.
I love that everyone loves skiing and we can do this as a family!

Aar and Drew had to try the Milly Express before we left.
Little did I know that part of the run was a black diamond.
Aar said Drew was a pro.
He was so proud that he skiied a black diamond!
All the boys did great!
We had such a fun day!

Cousins

Neana, the Captain, and Dane
stayed at our house over New Year's.
P couldn't have been happier.
He loves showing Dane the ropes
and being the "big" cousin.

When are you coming back to visit?

Skiing

Yesterday Aaron took the boys up to Brighton
for their first day of skiing.
They all went to Ski School
and came out loving it.
In fact, they loved it so much
they took me skiing today.
It was a perfect day!
Absolutely beautiful.
The kids were amazing and fearless.
We decided to put P into Ski School today
which he loved.

P is in the yellow helmet.

After only a few times down Explorer,
the boys wanted to ski some "real" runs
and we headed over to Majestic.
You should have seen the boys
on the green and blue trails.
Very impressive.

Uncle Ric was able to come with us.
The boys loved being able to show
him their skills.

Drew was my ski buddy for the day.
He insisted he take me on a blue
run to show me his moves.

I loved being able to ski as a family.

Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year!
The boys all said it was the best Christmas ever!
It was so fun to watch them
truly enjoy every minute of it.
They are such fun ages right now.
Santa didn't want any
peeking this year.
All the boys except P came up
at exactly 6:30 am.
We had to wake P up, but he didn't mind at all.

E to Alex,
I can't believe I got a camera
when I didn't tell anyone that's what I wanted.
Hmmmm. Maybe Santa IS real.

Alex was so excited about
his personalized Patriots jersey!

Santa brought exactly
what I wrote on my list!

I LOVE my GeoTrax!

What a great day!

Look at these handsome Christmas boys!

When did he become so grown up?
This is going way too fast!

Football

Aaron took the boys to return their
football equipment on Saturday.
It turns out they were selling the old equipment for $5.

The boys spent most of the afternoon
playing football.
Drew even set up chairs for the spectators.

Aar even had to get in on the action.

I can't wait for next season!!

October in a Nutshell

To start autumn off right we headed up the Alpine Loop
for some beautiful scenery.

Love these boys!

Friday was the annual Halloween parade at school.
Alex was a Mad Scientist while
D was Harry Potter.

Apparently the older grades don't parade,
but I caught a picture of E in the hall watching the parade.
Sally made his amazing costume in 1 day!!!
Thank you so much!
It was a hit!

After a week of crazy snow and wind,
yesterday turned out to be a gorgeous day.
We started off with E's semifinal
football game which they lost :(
E played great though
and definitely did some damage on the offensive line.

Then it was off to Alex's championship game.
His goal all season was to play defense.
This was quite the goal as it was
his first year playing football
and there were no substitutions on defense...
until yesterday!
Alex not only played left tackle on defense,
but he played the ENTIRE game.
He even had 2 fumble recoveries.
Way to go!
His team lost to the undefeated Alpine team
and took 2nd place.

After football it was time to get ready for
our annual Halloween party.
Jeana, Eric, and Dane made a surprise
visit from California!
Yeah, we were so happy they came!!!
Yummy soup was eaten and then off
to trick-or-treat and a visit to the Haunted Creek.

We're so glad everyone could come.
Thank you very much!

Quick Trip

This past weekend we made a
quick trip to Laguna Niguel, CA
for Dane's blessing.
We left Saturday afternoon after
E and Al's victorious football games
and drove to Vegas.
We woke up early Sunday morning
and finished the drive.
It was so much fun being able to be there!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Aar
for taking us!
You're the greatest!
I love you!

I couldn't leave Cali without a stop
at the beach!

A very fun Labor Day weekend
although WAY to short!

Boys and Girls

The other night we were at Alex's football scrimmage.
E, D, and Peyton were all playing at the playground.
Drew kept running over to us
yelling the girls are chasing us and trying to kiss us!!!
Peyton ran over and said,
Mom, those girls gave us a note
that said they want to kiss us!
It was SO SCARY!!
Then under his breath I heard him say,
I mean it was so cute!

Another School Year Begins

We just got back from taking the boys to school.
Before we left Drew said,
I'm so glad that no one will
be in love with me today!
Well, it turns out the little girl with her heart
filled up with love for Drew is in his class.
I don't know what he'll think about that.

E starts his 5th grade A.L.L program today.
He informed me I could not take any
pictures of him at school today.
(He's growing up!)
This is all he'd allow this morning.

Alex's 3rd grade teacher's classroom
theme is all about sports!
He's in heaven!

Drew was so excited for school this morning
that he woke up before 7 all by himself!
He's so excited to be a 1st grader, so that
he can eat lunch and walk home with his boys!

It's going to be a quiet day around here
with just P.
We'll be happy when the boys get home!

Road to Hana

We started off our last day in Maui
snorkeling at Black Rock.
Ethan saw another big sea turtle.
Then it was off to Cheeseburger in Paradise for lunch.
The restaurant was right on the beach.
Beautiful view!

After lunch we started on the road to Hana.
The views were gorgeous.

Our favorite was the black sand beach
where Aar taught the boys to skip rocks.

Alex decided that we need to come
back once a year. I agree!
