The Big Move

Well, the boys are definitely growing up. This past week we cleaned out the toy room and Ethan and Alex moved downstairs. The basement isn't finished yet, but they don't seem to mind. In fact, their room turned out cute. Aaron installed blinds and a closet organizer. Drew now has his own "car, plane, and choo choo train" room upstairs. All the boys love it. They play in their rooms, clean up their toys, and keep their rooms clean. We should have done this a long time ago :).

What a week!

What a great week for the office! On Tuesday the concrete was poured. Then on Friday they started framing! We are so excited! It is starting to really come together! I am getting anxious for my own office.

Happy Pioneer Day!

The celebration of Pioneer Day is such a fun time in Cedar Hills. We had our traditional barbeque and a great fireworks show set to music! Aaron, Uncle, and Rick put on a great "Utah" firework show. The Cedar Hills fireworks were outstanding! This is one of our favorite traditions!

The Office

There has been some good progress on the office. The brick is almost done and they're getting ready to roof. The inside is graded and ready for the concrete which should come any day.... The samples are of the dental chairs, dental cabinets, flooring, countertops, wall color etc.. Lots of thanks to Aaron, Mom, Dad, Nat, and Uncle for their help and opinions! I'm getting really excited!!!

Full House

We're all back together! Drew was so happy to have "his boys" back. The boys, Ethan, Alex, and Drew, started swimming lessons yesterday. They all love it! It has been so hot here, so it's nice to have a cool place to go. Peyton is officially on the move now. He is either doing a kind of scoot or walking along furniture, walls, people etc. to get where he needs to go. He's talking a lot more now too. Today in response to a question he said, "I did that," as plain as can be. What a big boy he's becoming.

This Week's Progress

Just stopped by the office and it's coming along. The bricking is getting closer to being done. The electrician installed the meter box, outside lighting, and ran the main line. Hopefully this week the inside will get backfilled and we'll get the concrete poured. It's progressing.....Slowly, but surely....

The Boys

While we were off having fun in Michigan, the boys were also having a great time. Grandma and Tiger flew Ethan and Alex to Billings to play, play, play. They flew all by themselves. They're such big boys.
Drew and Peyton packed a suitcase too, well Drew packed it, and off they went to Mimi and Papa's house. They had lots of fun too!!!
Aaron and I are so grateful for our parents and are glad that our children get to spend time with them!!!!!

Ann Abor Part 2

Here are some pictures from our trip to Ann Arbor. We really had a good time. We visited our old 1696 Cram Circle apartment. We also visited our condo, which was for sale. We ate at lots of yummy places: Kang's Korean, Anthony's Gourmet, Tim Hortons, BD Mongolian Grill, and Zingerman's Deli. We were also able to visit my good friend Laila and her family. A fast, but very fun trip!!!

Back in A squared

It has been 6 years and Aaron and I are back in Ann Arbor. In some ways it is still the same, but in others it has changed. Today I had a continuing education course to attend at the U of M Dental School. As we approached the Dental School I had this wave of pure stress rush over me complete with butterflies in my stomach and everything. I had to reassure myself that I was only attending a ce course and not going back to school. I didn't realize how much stress I must have been under while here. Once the course started, which was in the oral surgery clinic where I spent many a stressful day, everything was fine.
We did some sight seeing today and went up to North Campus and saw our old apartment - the smallest apartment I have ever seen. Right in front of the door was a shopping cart. Ahh the memories just came rushing back! We did not however see our old pet the squirrel. The tenets after us must not have been as kind as Aaron who fed him macadamia nuts. Today was a typical grey Michigan day, but we did enjoy eating at some of our favorite restaurants. I'm glad we made a trip back here. We had a lot of fun times!

Aaron just got back from the office. The brick is coming along. He reported that the tiles for the roof were delivered today. We're really going to have an office one day!

What Wonderful Boys!

What wonderful boys! I love having four boys!!!!! Every day is a new adventure. I love the ages they are right now. Ethan is such a wonderful, responsible big brother! Alex is so sweet and considerate. Drew loves to make you laugh. Peyton is such a joy. We couldn't have greater boys!

The FINAL plans came back from the city today. Yeah!!!!! Now things should really get moving. They are currently bricking the outside. I just found out that my nitrous oxide, vacuum, and compressor lines passed their pressure tests, so they should be back filling tomorrow. Then comes the electrician to run the conduits. Once he's done they can pour the concrete pad. The picture of the canyons is the view from three of the operatory windows. Ahhh the canyon vista......

Okay, Aaron has wanted me to start this blog for months, so I'm finally getting around to it. We're hoping to follow the building of our dental office. That way we'll always have a record of it. Things are going well, a little slower than Aaron would like, but actually rather fast when it comes to construction. Yesterday, they prepared the roof to get ready to tile it. On the interior, the plumbing is done and my med gas (nitrous oxide), vacuum, and compressor are all sitting under pressure until Wednesday when the inspector comes. It is exciting to see your own building going up. Everytime we drive by the boys yell, "It's your office!"
