Disneyworld 2007 Part II

Saturday morning was our first day at the parks. We hopped on the bus promptly at 8:15 am headed for Epcot. Troy, Tanya, and the kids joined us at the next stop. It was so great to see everyone. We got to Epcot before it opened and there weren't many people there. This proved to be a very good sign as we literally walked on every single ride that day!! Aaron headed over to Soarin' California for fast passes while the rest of us went straight to Test Track. I think Test Track proved to be one of the favorite rides of the trip. We rode this ride countless times. All the kids would keep their hands up for the entire ride even when we were going over 60 mph. Next stop, why Club Cool of course! Free soda pop from around the world. I mean who could go wrong with that when it's 90 degrees and 95% humidity outside. We then went over to Nemo and watched Turtle Talk with Crush where Nate was the star of the show! It was awesome. We had dinner at Rose and Crown in England. Our tables were right on the water. The food was delicious and better yet included in the dining plan. We ordered an appetizer, entree, and dessert at every meal. We definitely ate well on this trip!

Disneyworld 2007 Part 1

We had a wonderful trip to Florida. It was so great to go with Troy and Tanya! We all loved being together and what a fun time we had! It all started at about 1:30 am on Friday, September 7th, when Alex came upstairs completely ready to go. The only problem... we didn't need to leave for the airport until 4:50 am. I told Alex it was too early to be awake and to go back to bed. He exclaimed, "This is worse than Christmas morning. At least then I can wake up early!" About 45 minutes later I hear voices talking. I go to investigate to find Ethan and Alex in their room playing Sonic Heroes. Alex was way too excited to fall back asleep and had got Ethan up too. Neither was cranky just really excited. We left for the airport right on time to drop Aaron and three boys off. Drew and I had a direct FIRST CLASS flight that left 3 1/2 hours later, but arrived only 45 minutes after the boys. The flights went great. We met at the airport and boarded the Magical Express which took us straight to the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. We checked in and went straight to our room in Alligator Bayou 3727. Everything looked so much like New Orleans. Drew gave the room his stamp of approval which we all know is huge being the first class traveler that he is. I think we were in the room no longer than 5 minutes when we headed off to Downtown Disney to eat at the Earl of Sandwich and check out Disney Quest, the 5 floor arcade. Believe it or not the boys were still not cranky! Everyone loved Disney Quest. I mean what boy wouldn't when you can play any and every game without having to put money in. I even found Mrs. Pacman and Super Pacman. We were hoping to meet up with Troy and Tanya, but the airlines broke their stroller so Troy had to take a cab to Wal-Mart, the only thing open at 11:30 pm, and buy a new stroller. Back to the hotel to get a good nights sleep. By this point in time Ethan and Alex had been up for 20 hours straight and were just starting to show signs of sleepiness!

Drew's First Day of Preschool

I meant to post this before our vacation, but didn't have time. Drew was so excited to start preschool. (He is going to the same preschool he went to last year.) I'm not quite sure how Peyton felt about it though. Since the big boys have been in school Drew and Peyton have become inseperable. They are constantly making up new games - comfy crib, rocket ship fire truck bed, and race track. They pretty much play together all day long! Drew is so happy to be back in school. He loves seeing his friends and his teacher from last year. He really likes his new teacher, Teacher Charlotte. Being the independent guy that he is he loves having his "own" school to go to. Peyton is adjusting and loves it when it's time to pick up Drew Drew.

Hey Batman!

As you can see, Batman enjoys picking out his own clothes now. This is one of my favorite ensembles he's put together! Usually he has four shirts on and two different crocs. He is such a cutie!

Soccer Saturday Part II

Drew is finally old enough to play soccer and boy is he thrilled. He too had his first game on Saturday. The game started and what does Drew do, but dribble the ball the entire length of the field and score the first goal! It was so awesome. He is a natural athlete! It was so fun watching him play because he was so excited. There are girls on Drew's team too, but as you can see from the picture he doesn't mind at all. Go Green Dragons!

Soccer Saturday Part I

Alex started soccer on Saturday. His team has 5 girls and only 3 boys. Needless to say he is not thrilled. Furthermore, his team has the same uniforms as Drew's and that didn't sit to well with him since he wanted to be silver. Despite those few minor setbacks, he played a great game. He is definitely the fastest and seemed to enjoy it. He reports that he is only playing soccer to help him build up speed for track season this spring. He can run track as soon as he's 7 and he can't wait. Go Alex!

Fall Football

How I love this time of year! The start of school, the smell of fall in the air, and football season. With Ethan playing football it makes it even better! Ethan is doing great and absolutely loving it! His team lost a heartbreaker right at the end. Hopefully, they'll have better luck next week.

First Day of School

It's hard to believe, but today was Ethan and Alex's first day of school. Ethan's 3rd grade teacher is Miss Seacrest. He said she was nice and tall! Alex's 1st grade teacher is Mrs. Baker. He likes her a lot. The boys both had a great day. Alex liked bringing his own lunch and ate everything! Ethan has lunch at 10:32 am. A little early, but he seemed to like that. Alex thought lunch at 11:17 am was a little too late because he was hungry. We're looking forward to a wonderful school year.

Go Knights!

Ethan's first football game was yesterday. He played awesome! They played on a regulation 100 yard field complete with refs. The game lasted about an hour and a half. It was so HOT! Ethan played left guard and right tackle on offense. He is number 22. He is quite the amazing blocker. Nobody gets by him. He really enjoys it. It was so much fun watching him. I see a lot of football games in our future. Good thing we love it!

High School Musical 2

The world premiere of High School Musical 2 was last night and the boys absolutely loved it. (Let's be honest, I did too :)!) Every time they would start singing Peyton would yell, "Alex! Song, dance!" Alex, Drew, and Peyton practically danced the entire show. It was hilarious! Ethan and I enjoyed watching all the boys dance moves. Peyton would get so upset when the songs would end. He would say, "More songs," until another song came on. I definitely think we'll have to get the soundtrack!

Bubbles!

There's nothing like playing with bubbles. The Gymboree bubbles are the greatest! The boys had a fun time chasing, catching, and popping bubbles. Summer days are the best!

(Ethan is not absent from the posts on purpose. He's spending most of his time at football practice. His first game is Saturday. He's so excited. Pictures to come...)

No more binkie!

The binkie is no longer! Peyton has been quite the character lately. I think he may be suffering from binkie withdrawal. He gave up the binkie about 2 weeks ago all by himself. He's only asked for it a handful of times, but sometimes I think he misses the comfort of it. To top things off at the same time he gave up his binkie, his favorite little blanket that he has to sleep with ripped. He just keeps saying, "Blanky broken," when we put him to bed. I've tried to give him a different blanket, but he promptly throws it out of his crib and says, "Don't like it. Time out." Poor guy. At least he always slept with two little blankets, so he still has one of them. He has been up to quite the antics. I opened the fridge to get the kids a snack. I found some very interesting items. When I tried to take them out the cute 2 year old was beside himself. Needless to say, they stayed in the fridge for a couple of days. During which he would come and check on his "treasures" to make sure no one had moved them. Now if we could just find Aaron's watch!

Most everyone knows how Drew loves a good car wash. Well, the boys asked if they could clean the car. I mean who could say no. They were offering to do work. They did a great job. The wheels have never looked cleaner!

Rub a Dub Dub Three Ducks in a Tub

Peyton loves taking baths. He'll stop anything he's doing to take a "green." He has to have a Crayola bath tablet in all his baths. At least he's learning his colors! Lately, he likes to place the Mr. Potato Head glasses on his rubber duckies. He then spends the rest of the bath saying, "Duckies, so funny. So cute," while he cooks ham and donuts. He's a cutie!
