One week until opening day! Things are very busy, stressful, and exciting. It is so fun to see the office coming together! (This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago.)
Fall is such a fun time of year. Today we went to the pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun! The boys had fun getting their picture taken by the largest pumpkin in Utah county. They each got to pick out a pumpkin. The boys are excited for Halloween and are busy deciding what they're going to be!
Peyton has discovered the joys of kitchen cabinets. His favorite toy at the moment is the colander. Every day he gets it out to play. He fills it with everything imaginable and now enjoys playing peek a boo with it!
While Jeana has been away Rondalay plays... and his posts have rubbed off on the boys. I clicked on one of the links and Ethan, Alex, and Drew's ears perked up and they listened and danced to it over, and over, and over. Just click on the link below and you'll see what I'm talking about. Click here to see!!
Lots has been going on at the office. They finished the stucco out front and made some progress on the roof. All of the flooring except the carpet has been put down. The finish carpenters come in tomorrow. This is the exciting part for me. So much to do in so little time!! I'll be glad when I can breathe a sigh of relief when this is all done....
I've been thinking about how grown up all the boys have become and started going through pictures. Wow has time gone by quickly! They are such wonderful boys!! Here's a trip down memory lane... Then... Drew 1 week old
Okay, I know I've been posting a lot about Peyton lately, but he just seems to be turning into such a little boy. Today he was walking around with the phone saying, "Hi!" Yes, that's right! He was saying hi as plain as can be. Then he was driving cars around just like his big brother Drew. He was just a baby yesterday!
The office is really making progress. The texture is done on the drywall. It looks awesome!! The tile just got put down in the patient restroom, sterilization room, and mini lab. Everything is really coming together! Monday or Tuesday the finish carpenter starts working and the wood floor will be put down. It's really getting close now...
Drew absolutely loves preschool! He is so excited when he wakes up in the morning that he wears his backpack around until it's time to go. He even packs a snack in his backpack for the ride home. He never wants to leave when you come to pick him up. In fact, many times Drew tells me to go home; it's not time for me to come yet!
Now that Peyton is officially on the go he has figured out that he can get into everything. He is having a blast. He just moves from one thing to the next and I cannot keep up with him. Peyton played hard this afternoon and has been asleep for over 3 hours. He is such a cutie!
Peyton is walking everywhere now! He is such a cute walker! Last week he just started walking and hasn't stopped :). He can follow his brothers wherever they go. He is thrilled with this new found skill!
The office is really taking shape now. They finished hanging the dry wall yesterday. Starting Tuesday they'll start taping and mudding. Then Thursday will be the 2nd tape and mud. The following Monday they'll start texturing. It's really cool to actual see the lay out of the office. I am really happy with how it's turning out just a little anxious for everything to get done.
Drew's first day of preschool was on Friday. He was so excited to go to school like his "boys." His teacher's name is Miss Denise and he calls her "the one with the black shirt and she's a girl." He had a great first day. When I came to pick him up he was playing on the playground and informed me that he couldn't come home. He loves preschool.
This morning Alex started Kindergarten. He was so excited!! Alex was thrilled because he got to walk to school with Ethan and his friends. We all walked to school together, although Ethan made Aaron and I keep our distance when he went to pick up his friends :). Alex wasn't nervous at all. It's kind of strange to just have Drew and Peyton home. On Friday, it will just be Peyton as Drew starts preschool. The boys are growing up. I can't wait to hear how Alex's first day went!
Both Ethan and Alex had their opening soccer games of the season today. Alex told us this morning that he was going to score a goal in his first game. He did his hair "soccer style" which was supposed to help him run fast and score goals. Alex sprinted down the field and saved a goal for his team. Just like he said, he also scored a goal. It was an awesome goal too!!! A strong powerful kick right through the defenders. Ethan played awesome! This is his first season with goalies and throwing the ball in from the sidelines. He ran the field well and had the most powerful kick on his team! We're excited for a new season!
They're done with the framing, electrical, plumbing, and heat/air!! Tomorrow is the four way inspection at 8:30 am. If all goes well and everything passes, insulation will start in the afternoon. I'm getting very excited.
