Happy Mother's Day!

Last week Drew had a Mother's Day Luncheon at his preschool. They put on a darling program. Drew also made a fan and a coupon book for me. He also had a few words of wisdom about me.
1. My mother is 10 years old.
2. My mother likes to make her bed.
3. My mother is happy when I don't go in time out.
4. The first thing my mother does when she wakes up is put me in my bed.
5. My mother does not like to eat candy.
6. My mother's favorite color is pink.
7. My mother loves me because I go downstairs and play.
8. I love when my mother helps me clean my room.
I love seeing myself through my cute 4 year old's eyes!!

Ethan had a special program called Muffins for Mom. They put on a cute program. We then had muffins and milk. Next, we went back to the classroom and played games. It was so much fun. Ethan mad me a coupon book, picture frame with his picture, and had a few things to say about me too.
1. My Mom has a pretty smile! I like to make her smile by being funny.
2. My Mom is as pretty as a butterfly.
3. My Mom is smart! She even knows how to fix cavities.

Alex made me a darling necklace. He drew the cutest picture of himself! I had a great Mother's Day and am lucky to have 4 wonderful boys!!!!!!!

New Minovan

I don't see why this is so hard to believe. Yes, we got a new minivan (minovan for you Roo fans). Yes, we are actually saving money by buying a new car. I did the math, but I forgot to save the spreadsheet. It's a good amount of money we'll save over the next 2 years and possibly beyond but hey I'll probably buy a new van around then anyway. I must also warn you that we copied Troy and Tanya. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. :)

Bobcat

Last night was pack meeting. Ethan earned his Bobcat, ultimate frisbee belt loop, and two achievements. He loves Cub Scouts and it's so fun to see him so excited about everything. Alex even won an award, bag of gummy worms, for knowing 13 out of 15 different bugs! We had a fun time at pack meeting!

Sweet Innocence

A while ago, Drew, Peyton, and I were walking the halls at church during Sacrament meeting. We walked past the phone in the foyer. Drew spotted the phone and exclaimed, "Mom, I just need to make a quick call to Jesus." He picked up the phone, dialed, and then began the cutest conversation. "Hi Jesus. It's Drew...." Now that's what the church phone is for!
Alex had to say the prayer in primary a couple of Sundays ago. He was sitting in the front. During the opening song, I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus, I looked up to see Alex with his eyes closed, swaying to the beat of the song, and singing as loud as can be. He was truly into it!

Snakes and Snails...

I just love my boys. Every day is a surprise. They are always busy doing the most amusing things from simply playing computer games to scaling the swing set. Definitely never a dull moment.

A Trip to the Dino Museum

We love the Dinosaur Museum! It is so great having a yearly pass because every time we go it's a little different. Some trips are on fast forward. The boys fly from exhibit to exhibit and we're in and out in 20 minutes. However, this visit the boys stopped to enjoy everything. Even Peyton loved it.

Pinewood Derby

So, we walk into church on Sunday and the Pack leader comes up to us and asks how our pinewood derby car is coming along. Pinewood derby car? Yes, the race is on Tuesday. Oh, well that doesn't give us much time now does it? So with one day to make the car, I think we did pretty good. Ethan did all the sanding, painting and assembly. I did all the weights. It did pretty good too. He came in 4th out of about 20-25 cars. It was a lot of fun. Enjoy the pics.

New HD DVD Player

So, to add to all the excitement surrounding my new TV. I also got a new HD DVD player. So you may be asking were I'm getting the money for all these toys......don't ask. :) Anyway, the XBox 360 add-on drive was sold on Ebay and the new 1080p HD-XA2 came on Monday. It looks amazing.

Calm before the storm

I loved the way these clouds looked. I wanted to take a picture of Ethan in front of them, but he can't smile. :)

Alex has soul

Alex can dance, remember the video from Disney World? Another perfomace picture for your enjoyment.

Happy Easter

It was a good Easter at the Schofields. Tiger and Grandma were here for about 10 minutes before they left for Montana. They boys enjoyed their Easter egg hunt. They were wild from their sugar high all day. :)

Ethan's Baptism

Ethan is so OLD!!! OK 8 isn't really old, but I remember when he was little and I was teaching 5 year olds in primary and thinking how old they were. Not even considering I'd have a child this age someday. Boy, how time flys. Enjoy the pics.

NEW TV!!!

Ok, after 7 years I finally bought a new TV. Thats not to say I didn't absolutely love my Mitsubishi 65" tv. I did, in fact I had to since I bought it without Natali's permission (BIG MISTAKE) and I paid almost $6000 for it. So, after loving it for many years, the need to view my HD DVDs and Blu-rays in 1080p took over and I began the search for a new TV. Thank goodness for taxes, wait did I just say that...well, thank goodness for tax refunds. So, thank you tax refund. So, for all wondering, yes I did go down in size, 60" now. It was a hard pill to swallow but I couldn't afford the 70", well I couldn't convince Natali it was worth it. So anyway, here are before and after pictures. Enjoy and yes everyone is welcome over to watch a new movie.
